Obama for President or VP?
From everything I’ve been reading and hearing about Obama, it appears he is either going to be the Democratic Presidential nomination or at the very least, the VP to whomever is the Democratic pick. The Irregular Times, News Unfit for Print has been selling Presidential Dream Ticket items and it appears in every single combination Barack Obama is the central player.
In December 2006, Irregular Times sold over 200 of these items; Barack Obama took the presidential position in most of the running-mate items. Obama is not only dominant: he is also central.
I wonder if the stats are still the same now. It is being speculated that if Gore wins the Nobel Prize for his environmental piece, he will be pressured into running for the President and Obama will be his running mate. Only time will tell.

A Gore/Obama ticket would be a dream for me. He is certainyl a central figure. If he gets VP then the biggist thing against him (lack of experience) will be gone and he is an almost shoe in for the next presidency.

Obama is a senator with little experience running for President, no way his ego would allow him to accept a VP spot.
GG: I don’t know about this statement. I don’t think his ego is as big as you think

I am cramming to understand what is “exciting” about Obama.
He’s fresh and articulate

In what category does Al Gore merit a Nobel Prize? Certaintly not science. He is a populist wonk who conducts no original research.
No one is saying that Al Gore is conducting research, however, he is the only politician that has been an advocate for global warming for what seems like eons. That by itself warrants recognition.
Frankly, I think Barry HUSSEIN Obama should be his own man. Grab that nomination and never let it go.
The memory of the progressive mind is short indeed. I can’t believe the calls I hear for algore to run. Is this the same algore who advocated spyware technology? You mean the guy who voted for the Hyde Amendment? The guy who advocated bombing Lybia? No thanks.
I think Al Gore had his chance and should go sit down. The thoughts that are here are what others are saying about Gore and Obama.

Cynthia, are you behind Obama? In a previous post you explained pretty well why he doesn’t make a good candidate, now it seems you have changed your mind. Fresh and articulate is a great start, but what does the man stand for? What is he against?
These are the things that matter to me and what I am not getting from him, his website, or the MSM.
Although I think Obama is too conservative for my liking, I do like him better than the other candidates.
