Cynthia’s Interests

Harold Ford Jr

I don’t have anything good to say about Harold Ford Jr and it serves him right that the GOP is running ads that are playing on racial stereotypes. This man is part of that Blue Dog Democrat Coalition (wannabe Republicans). This man is so busy trying to crossover; he is absolutely no earthly good to Black people. Even the NAACP who thinks the ads are racist, gave Ford a "C" for his interest, in this case, lack thereof in Black politics. The Congressional Black Caucus Monitor gave him an "F".

James seems to think the people are not buying these racist ads. Although these ads were pulled, I bet they will have the desired outcome for which they were intended. Afterall, we are talking about people who live in the bible belt. People are more polite and they don’t want others to know they are openly racist, therefore, the polls are more than likely not accurate.

Time will tell.

  1. If you look closer at Ford’s record you’d see that he isnt as conservative as you might think, of course, you havent explained WHY exactly you dont like him. But I’m guessing that because he supports the war in Iraq and doesnt want to impeach Bush, than he’s not your cup of tea. And if that is the case then thats a shame because the ads were racist and went way beyond just a minor smear tactic.

He is in the way. White people have their leaders. As Black people we don’t need people who are unwilling to serve our interests. I do agree that the ads are racists; I just think he is getting what he deserves. Here you have a man that is playing crossover politics just so that he can get White people to like him and his views are more Republican than Democratic, and yet those he is trying to emulate are slapping him in the face.

  2. I have to say, I heard him talk on Bill Maher’s show, and he makes a great politician. However, I don’t agree with a lot of his politics. I never saw the ads that were run, but they described one ad of a white woman telling him to call her. I think that one is hard to be considered racist. And I loved that he refused to address that particular ad as a racist ad. It would have just made him look like a wolf cryer.

Take a look at the following link. It dissects and explaines political ads.

  3. I don’t like Harold’s politics either, but someone once said that all politics is local. Politics pander to their consequents, that is how they get elected. Harold’s Jesus loving campaign is more a reflection of where he is running than him.

It is sad that he is going to lose to a man who can’t even manage to get Chattanooga’s 911 system running.
